2018/19 Football. Our boys did us proud this season in Sciath Na Scol football, going all the way to the semi final and only losing by a single score.

Our Sponsored Walk - Friday 5th May, 2018

All of the pupils from Junior Infants right up to 6th class took part in our school's sponsored walk today.  The rain stayed away and it wasn't too hot so it was a perfect day for a walk up to and around the Lough.  The boys really enjoyed the walk itself, the cute ducklings, the mammy and daddy ducks and the beautiful swans, not to mention the visit to the playground!  It was great exercise for the children, and for the teachers too ;-)

Have a look at the lovely photos and see who you can spot!

Scoot to School Day

Thank you to all the parents, grand parents, pupils and staff who took part in our Scoot to School Week in March.  Those boys who scooted, walked and cycled are to be praised for their efforts………  Have a look at just some of the fab photos from the day!

Our boys are getting fit!

Our boys just started their "Get Fit With Your Kids" classes.  This is a great opportunity for parents to join their children in some get fit activities.  Everyone loves it!

Yellow Junior ASD Class - ASW 2017 Activities

The end of our Playball sessions for this academic year :-(

Tuesday, 14th March was the last day for Playball this academic year.  The boys have learned so much with Carol - the Playball coach.  They have learned valuable skills around playing sport, playing in teams and playing together.  They have had so much fun too!  Here are some photos of the fun the boys had today.

Our Playball Professionals!!!

Every Tuesday, Carol - the Playball coach, comes to our school to teach the boys Playball skills.  The boys love all the different activities and they are so good at Playball now.

Well done to all the boys and a big thank you to Carol for helping them learn such a fantastic sport.

As part of our Active School Flag and in conjunction with Operation Transformation, our school took part in a new primary school initiative called the 10@10.

On Friday 10th February @ 10am every child in Ireland was encouraged to partake in a mass physical activity break for 10 mins.

We invited every class in our school to dance along to the following clip (used a couple of years ago as part of the Operation Transformation programme).  Go to YouTube and type in "Operation Transformation Step it up"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKIVsPQrPEM

The children danced, marched and stepped their way through the song for over 4 minutes! Have a look at our fab photos and see if you recognise anyone!

Well done to all the boys who danced their hearts out and had loads of fun!  Even the teachers had a great time ;-)
