There were many exciting events going on in Morning Star School and especially Senior Infants, over the summer months.
Mr Deasy decided that each class would carry out a project and present it to all the other classes. Senior Infants choose Spain, we had great fun learning to count, and sing songs in Spanish, we also played Bomba and we even did a video to Ms. Barry's brother Eoghan and Ali in Barcelona. We also had the chance to visit the other classes and listen to their projects. Sadly we said good-bye to Kayden who is moving to a new school in September, the boys had some lovely things to say about their friend. We all wish you luck in your new school Kayden.
Senior Infants also said good bye to Tyrese who has moved on to secondary school Good luck to you. The Mr Whippy came to our school with ice cream for us yummy!!!!!! Our sports day was a great success see us here with our medals and also our awards from school we received for all our hard work. EASTER at Morning Star
We were very busy in Senior Infants in the run up to Easter. We practiced loads for Cór Fhéíle, went on our March walkabout and even fit in some Easter fun!
We teamed up with a partner for the ‘egg drop challenge’. Each pair had to design a platform that would save our egg from cracking when dropped from a height. We made our platforms out of recycled and household materials. Tyrese from 6th class lent us his expertise as well! There were tense moments as our eggs took the plunge!
We also drew Easter bunnies and made Easter chicks for our partners.
Well done to the boys who made Lenten commitments and stuck with them!!!! they are amazing.
