Our new Junior Infants have settled really well into school life. We are delighted with them and very proud of their progress so far. Watch this space for lots of photos of them doing fun activities and hard work.
We're FAMOUS!! We were on the Echo!
We are back at school and we are delighted!
Last week at home and this week at school, we have been learning all about the farm.
We have made our own farms, made patterns with animals, practiced our cutting skills, matched baby animals with their Mommies and made our favourite animals from Playdough! It has been a fun week back at school. We've even painted some Easter Bunnies!
January / February 2021
Learning at Home.
We spent January and February working at home because of Covid-19.
Teacher sent us work every day and our families did a great job of helping us to learn lots of new things. We had Zoom meetings too and they were a lot of fun - when the internet worked properly! It was lovely to see each other on the screen.
We did work in our books, learned to read new words, did science experiments, yoga, art and stories, to name just a few. We loved watching our Bua na Cainte videos and learned new Jolly Phonics sounds. Thanks to all the adults at home for the huge effort put into learning at home this year. Here are some photos of Junior Infants at home.
We had fun singing some Christmas songs but we had more fun dancing to them!
We also enjoyed watching 3rd and 4th class do their play on Zoom!
On Wednesdays, we can wear our own clothes now and sometimes the boys find their 'twin' - what fun!
We do lots of Maths activities in Junior Infants - we really enjoy counting!
We had a blast during Science Week. We did loads of experiments and we became inventors with our blocks. We saw colours change, we saw dancing raisins and we created buildings with food.
